Guidelines for the Dash

Day of Event Guidelines for Attendees
1. No outside food, drinks or coolers inside the buildling. (Concessions will be available.)
2. Wager a lot, because the money goes to charity!
3. Please clean up after your pet.

Guidelines for Racing Dogs and Owners
1. Each dog may have one person, a “handler,” on the track during the race.
2. The handlers must be 12 years of age or older.
3. No human or doggie food may be brought onto the track.
4. One toy per dog will be allowed on the track.
5. Please do not throw any items for the dog to chase while on the track. This creates a hazard for running handlers and other dogs.

Racing dogs will be replaced with an alternate if…
1. Gazette staff cannot contact the owners of the selected dogs before March 26.
2. The biography is not turned in to Oklahoma Gazette by April 2.
3. The racing dog is not checked in at the registration booth by 12 noon on the day of the event.
4. The racing dog and owner do not get to the "dressing room" when called before race time.

5. The racing dog shows aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs.
